Almanac

Since joining Almanac in October 2017, Jess has performed collaborative acrobatic, dance, and theater shows. These avant-garde performances took place at venues including but not limited to The Fillmore, the Asian Arts Initiative, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Philadelphia Convention Center. With Almanac, Jess performed in the Philadelphia 2019 Flower Show and was a principle singer in Almanac's musical acrobatic production of “Human Camouflage: The Discoveries of Jeanne Baret” at the New York Botanical Gardens in 2018. At the CEC in August 2019, she performed in Almanac’s new production of “The Edge”, a seriously funny acro-theatre show sharing the personal and heartbreaking stories of her fellow company members’ experiences with stage 4 cancer and dementia. Jess participated in Almanac’s “Fleecing” of 2017 and 2019, an immersive show in Philadelphian mansion house.

With Almanac, Jess additionally performed for Young Audiences of New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania (YANJ) providing AcroAction!, a year-round, educational program for K-12. With the group, she also took part in offering AlmanAcro--free open ensemble circus workshops for the community. During the global pandemic, she performed for Playstreets, rehearsed for a show which unfortunately was canceled due to the virus, taught virtual Almanac classes, free and open to the public via zoom, and choreographed a flash mob dance for a corporate event.
